Back to the 80s

When I´m thinking of the 80s I think of big hair, big earrings, big everything! I love this era because there´s almost nothing that´s too crazy or too glam. In today's outfit I´ve picked some of my 10 favourite 80s trends (listed beyond) - Big Cross Earrings, a wild 80s Mini dress and of course Moschino – and comined them to a super fun look! :)

SCRUNCHIES

For a couple of years I wasn´t a big fan but the cool 80s trend is definitely a thing again! I would wearing them with a 80s style side tail and it´s how many fun colours and fabrics you can buy the eyecatchers.

BIG EARRINGS

In the 80s earrings couldn´t be big enough – Whether pink plastic, gold hoops or the Madonna Style crosses!

RIPPED JEANS/MOM JEANS

Ripped Jeans (And denim in general of course) where super cool in the 80s and are more fashionable than ever these days.

WAYFARERS

The iconic Ray Ban sunglasses were THE thing in the 90s and it´s difficult to imagine eyewear without them.

BUCKET HATS

From the Stone Roses to LLCoolJ – there´s nothing more cool than Bucket Hats. (Okay they make you look like a little bit of an idiot today but you gotta life with that sometimes)

SWATCH

Even I remember these gems; they came in all colours and designs, and some of them had exchangeable bracelets.

PROM DRESSES

Big, shiny, puffy Prom dresses. Okay, they do look a bit trashy if you see them today but it´s the first thing that comes to my mind if I think of the 80s and they remind me of Cindy Lauper.

BIG HAIR & PERMS

I think in the 80s your hair simply couldn´t be big enough and hairdresser probably spent 90% of their time backcombing and doing curls.

MOSCHINO

The Italian brand Moschino was founded in the 80s and surprised with their colourful, eccentrics design – One of their best sellers was (and is) the classic Moschino leather belt with gold lettering.

SHOULDER PADS

Just like pretty much everything, your shoulders in the 80s had to be bigger than average. Shoulder pads are not really in style anymore but they still make you look like you´re about to kick some ass.
