Arctic Vibes

Isn´t snow beautiful? I don’t think I will ever lose this feeling – the excitement when you open the window blinds in the morning and you see the world under a white, glittery veil of snow. I could sit by the window and watch the snow fall for hours… Not only the snow is special about today, but I´m also wearing two very special pieces of clothing with this winter look. One of them being this fur hat, that makes me feel like a Russian High Society girl. This hat belongs to my grandma and is about 50 years old. Even more exciting is this incredible coat. I love it´s quality and all the odd details like the bat collar, the numerous buttons and the tassels on the arms. It is nothing else than my Grandpas 70 year old Miners Uniform – for parades and special occasions. The jacket is in an immaculate condition and it make me proud to wear it – and of course it reminds me of my wonderful grandpa.

Ist Schnee nicht wunderschön? Ich glaube nicht, dass ich dieses Gefühl jemals verlieren werde– diese Aufregung, wenn man den Rollladen morgens hochzieht und die Welt erblickt, gehüllt in einen glitzernden Schleier aus weißem Schnee. Ich könnte stundenlang am Fenster sitzen und dem Schnee beim Fallen zusehen…. Aber heute ist nicht nur der Schnee besonders für mich, sondern ich trage auch zwei ganz besondere Kleidungsstücke in diesem Winter Look. Einer davon ist meine Pelzmütze, mit der ich mich irgendwie wie ein russisches High Society Girl fühle. Sie gehört meiner Oma ist schon 50 Jahre alt. Aber noch viel cooler finde ich diesen unglaublichen Mantel. Ich liebe den festen Stoff und alle eigentümlichen Details, so wie den Fledermauskragen, die Fransen an den Schultern und die unzähligen Knöpfe. Dabei handelt es sich tatsächlich um eine Ehren – Bergmanns Uniformsjacke – für hohe Anlässe und Paraden. Die Jacke befindet sich in einem makellosen Zustand und es macht mich stolz sie zu tragen – und natürlich erinnert sie mich an einen wundervollen Großvater!
